compression is only 30lbs?

That is your problem then. You won't really ignite the fuel very well with that.

Well I did exploritory surgery. As suspected, blown head gasket. Now the delema. I have another head that was redone from the original engine. After I blew the head gasket on the original engine I put a reman head on, and the bottom went out of the junkyard engine. Do I just put that one on? Redo the one that came with the engine. Or just but a head gasket on the original. Or redo the one sitting in my basement?

story behind this headgasket problem. last year I let the girlfriend drive it off road. She wasn't used to the front locker, and hit a rock, hard. Put a small hole in the radiator and it over heated when lost coolant. Then I got it home and and forgot to drain water and replace with coolant. freeze out plug rusted. What a mess.
