hi everybody
I am new in this forum
my name is dominic and i'm from quebec canada
my english is not perfect but i'll try my best to be clearely understand
I am swaping a 7mge from a cressida 89 into a 94 4runner with the 5mge motor mount , belt housing and clutch cylinder .... I keep my stock transmission (w-56) and stock cross-member ....at this point everything look fine exept for one thing
the brake booster and the intake are way to close..... i just can not leave this so close
I want to know if anyone have see this problem
my solution was to rise the trany 2 or 3 degres just to have enough clearence for the booster .......but I'll have more angle on my rear drive shaft
my second solution was to change the booster for a smaller one and use a bigger master...???
I have a 3inch boby lift and the truck had a 22re
here's the photo

I believe that you could dent the booster to gain a bit of extra clearance...I am slowly working on a 7m into an 86 runner, and that's what I'll do if I have clearance problems with my 2" lift. If I remember correctly, 4rnrRick said that the crankshaft was 1 1/4" higher when using 5m mounts, so I am planning to raise my transmission mount that much to help with the shifter sinking down...hopefully with a crossmember like the ones Budbuilt makes... _________________ 86 4runner

I made a 1"1/8 braket to rise the trany
the booster is about 1/4" from the intake
it's still close but should be enough clearence |
