i have been doin reserch for a while on the 7m swaps due to lack of fundage to do one myself. i am wondering if there are any major mods/fitups i have to do since my frnt diff will not be suspended. i know an oil pan mod will be part of the to do list, but i have no clue shere to hammer/ cut and weld so any help would be rad |

if you take a hammer to the side that the diff is on, you can actually smash it in enough to clear. If you get a 2" body lift, it will make this easier. I recommend cutting and welding the pan though. But if you must smash, you need to remove the pan first as you will crush the oil pickup.

sweet, i dont have a tig or even a place to weld yet so i feel pretty helpless. eventually ill prolly tig one out of aluminum |

just crush it then with a hammer. Do this with the oil pan attached to the motor with ALL the bolts in and of course the pickup tube removed.

Go front sump. May have to remove/relocate steering dampener. |
