I'm in the planning stage of swapping in a 2jz-gte into a 1990 mercedes 300CE. My goal is to achieve 0-60 as close to 5 sec as possible.
Currently it is 7.2sec with stock M104 24v 217hp Mercedes engine.
I'm thinking I will need to mod the 2jz to get the performance I want although the stock engine should make an improvement.
Been looking at Supra and Aristo as the donor cars.
Any suggestions or experience would be great . |

I know this is a little old.....but...
i would recommend finding an inexpensive N/A. You can buy a $1300 turbo kit for it and that should get you up to 60 pretty quickly. _________________ Supra Swapper and Owner of this site |

Normally Aspirated. Non turbo.
Turbo 2JZ cost quite a bit more. JDM's are a little cheaper, but they are not NEAR as good as US. So, take a N/A 2JZ and turbo it. With a 3mm HG, an NA motor can handle 800RWHP. _________________ Supra Swapper and Owner of this site |
